Frank LoCastro

Vice President of Operations Management

Frank LoCastro is the Central Park Conservancy’s Vice-President of Operations Management. With a staff of about 200 in season, comprised of both Conservancy and Parks employees, he oversees all strategic operations and management functions in Central Park. This includes daily operations, budgeting, horticultural projects, tree work, preventive maintenance, facilities and event management, and emergency preparedness.

Frank joined the Conservancy in May of 2011 in this newly created position. Prior to joining the Conservancy, he managed systems, technology, large scale facilities and construction projects in both the private sector and higher education.

Frank holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate from New York University.

  • The Arsenal in Central Park Arsenal

    The Arsenal was built between 1847 and 1851 as a munitions supply depot for New York State’s National Guard. That original military use would be short-lived, as it soon became part of Central Park.
