Laura Hall

Laura Hall - Vice President of Development, Women’s Committee
 
As Vice President of Development of the Women’s Committee, Laura Hall oversees a group of dynamic volunteers who are dedicated to the beautification and preservation of Central Park. Founded in 1983, the Women's Committee has been instrumental in increasing awareness and raising funds for many Park projects.

Laura supervises the Adopt-a-Bench program, Tree Trust, Playground Partners, Women’s Committee Membership, the Conservancy Docents, the Perimeter Association as well as three of the Conservancy’s major fundraisers: the Frederick Law Olmsted Awards Luncheon, The Fall Luncheon and the Playground Partners Party in Playground. The Women's Committee raises nearly 20 percent of the Conservancy’s annual Park-wide budget. 


Laura has an extensive background in fundraising and special event planning. Prior to joining the staff at Central Park Conservancy in 2007, she was Executive Director of The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering. She also ran her own consulting firm and planned many of New York’s top events.
 
Laura graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

    In the center of this playground is a whimsical concrete fountain featuring characters from Alice in Wonderland. Play features include colorful pipe frame equipment and bucket swings and are geared toward toddlers.
