Job Summary:
Reporting to the Construction Director, supervises and coordinates construction projects as part of the Conservancy’s ongoing program of work to rebuild, restore, and manage Central Park.

Reports to: Construction Director

Department:  Planning, Design and Construction

Status: Full-time/Exempt

Position Number: 3944

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm


Position Summary:

Reporting to the Construction Director, supervises and coordinates construction projects as part of the Conservancy’s

ongoing program of work to rebuild, restore, and manage Central Park.


Position Responsibilities:

·         Supervise field work performed by site contractors.

·         Inspect material deliveries and completed work for quality and conformance with contract documents.

·         Perform field measurements and calculations for contract payments.

·         Ensure that project sites are managed in a safe and professional manner, in full compliance with

       applicable safety standards and other regulatory requirements, and consistent in appearance and

       information communicated to park patrons with CPC’s public image and high standards for our work in the Park.

·         Maintain daily and weekly reports and photo-documentation of work by contractors.

·         Maintain up-to-date files on projects.

·         Perform other duties as required.

 

Position Qualifications:

·         Educational background or experience related to site construction. Candidates with a degree from an accredited

      program in Landscape Architecture will be eligible to use the Assistant Landscape Architect title.

·         Familiarity and understanding of construction documents.

·         Familiarity with relevant design standards, codes, and industry standards of practice.

·         Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.

·         Proficiency in MS Office required. Proficiency in AutoCAD helpful.

·         Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

·         Valid Driver’s license.
