Grounds Technician (Night/Ops)

Job Summary:
The position requires the ability to perform basic Park maintenance throughout the year.

Job Description:

Reports to: Night/Ops Supervisor

Department: Operations

Status: Full-time/Non-exempt

Position: 3319

Schedule: 1:30pm -10:00pm

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

    Performs maintenance tasks including, but not limited to:

·         Debris and Trash removal

·         Mowing, string trimming and weeding

·         Sweeping and cleaning

·         Snow removal

·         Leaf raking and sweeping

·         Installation and repair of fencing

·         Facility maintenance as needed

·         Vehicle and equipment operation

·         Interacts with Park patrons in a professional manner including providing accurate and pertinent information regarding Park landmarks and events.

·         Performs other duties as required

Minimum Requirements:

·         Ability to perform heavy, physical labor on a daily basis in all weather conditions

·         Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

·         Experience with outdoor power equipment

·         Strong interpersonal skills

·         Valid Driver's License required; CDL with air brakes endorsement is a plus

·         Ability to work independently

·         Schedule that varies to meet the needs of the Park, including weekends, holidays and evenings
