Job Summary:
We are looking for an HR intern to perform various administrative tasks and support our HR department’s daily activities. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills she or he may have acquired in school related to his or her particular areas of interest and apply them in a professional setting. He or she will gain a better understanding of the role that Human Resources can play in a non-profit setting and be better prepared to work in the arena of human resources and the nonprofit sector. Job Description:

HR Intern

We are looking for an HR intern to perform various administrative tasks and support our HR department’s daily activities.  This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills she or he may have acquired in school related to his or her particular areas of interest and apply them in a professional setting. He or she will gain a better understanding of the role that Human Resources can play in a non-profit setting and be better prepared to work in the arena of human resources and the nonprofit sector.  If you are interested in kick-starting your career in HR and getting a closer look of how the backend of our organization works, then this is the job for you.

Duties include:

  • This position will have a heavy focus on data entry and scanning documents
  • Assists with general administrative projects
  • Assists with department phone calls and walk-ins
  • Assists with the distribution of e-faxes and incoming department mail on a daily basis
  • Assists with data integrity projects in the HRIS

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with an interest and aptitude to work in Human Resources, or management/administrative fields
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team oriented environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet applications
  • Personable, able to work closely with other staff members, interact pleasantly and professionally with a variety of people

Schedule:

Monday – Friday

9:00 am – 5:00 pm
