Job Summary:
The Central Park Conservancy has a 9-person Information Technology team that support all 350 staff members across the park and its 13 offices. The Information Technology Intern will have general computer and networking skills and be interested in working in a technology department assisting support and network staff with projects. The candidate with get exposure to all aspects of a technology department and how it supports an organization with a variety of technology needs and equipment. Projects will be determined based on skill set.

Job Description:

Information Technology Intern

The Central Park Conservancy has a 9-person Information Technology team that support all 350 staff members across the park and its 13 offices. The Information Technology Intern will have general computer and networking skills and be interested in working in a technology department assisting support and network staff with projects. The candidate with get exposure to all aspects of a technology department and how it supports an organization with a variety of technology needs and equipment. Projects will be determined based on skill set.

Duties include:

·         Assisting in imaging and rolling out new desktop

·         Assisting in diagnosing technology issues (both desktop and network)

·         Testing changes and new solutions

·         Assistance in setting up Audio/Visual needs for meetings

·         Setting up and trouble-shooting mobile devices for connectivity and app issues

·         Documenting settings, problems and solutions to issues

Requirements:       

·         Interest in, and enjoyment of, using technology to solve problems

·         Ability to follow directions and report back results

·         Ability to communicate results from projects verbally and in written form clearly and concisely

·         Ability to do light lifting (for instance, a small box of laptop) of approximately 15lbs

Desired skills include:

·         Windows 10 install and maintenance

·         Networking basics (DNS, DHCP, etc.)

·         Microsoft Office feature set knowledge

·         Mobile device setup and maintenance

·         Basic troubleshooting skills

·         Knowledge of Salesforce, Smartsheets, Adobe CS, Wireless Access Points, firewall and VPN configurations, and cloud-based services.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday

9:00 am – 5:00 pm
