Job Summary:
Central Park Conservancy is seeing an experienced Membership Manager to join its Development Team. The Membership Manager is responsible high-level data management, and for retaining and acquiring CPC donors (up to $10,000) through outward facing campaigns and by ensuring a consistent membership experience by providing excellent customer service and seamless member fulfillment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with a deep understanding of the relationship between membership marketing and data. Additionally, s/he will be able to comprehend the “big picture” while focusing on departmental tasks with special attention to detail and data.

Reports to: Senior Director of Membership & Digital Strategy

Department: Membership

Status: Full-time/Exempt

Position Number: 3704

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

·         Project manage all production aspects of renewal, acquisition and appeal mailings for both offline and online campaigns; conduct analysis; vet lists across departments; make data strategy decisions.

·         Attend regular meetings with direct marketing agencies.

·         Manage all membership data requests for offline and online.

·         Coordinate with Data Management/Comm/Agency to establish and maintain data integrity and accuracy as it relates  to Membership in Raiser’s Edge & Luminate Online (including address hygiene and NCOA updates).

·         Manage and maintain revenue and retention reports for membership department.

·         Manage membership gift processing in coordination with data management, finance, and communications for offline  and online gifts.

·         Supervise acknowledgement process through Raiser’s Edge (in coordination with agency).

·         Serve as primary membership contact fir troubleshooting and setting data policy in Raiser’s Edge, Luminate Online.

·         Manage membership e-renewal series.

·         Supervise intern, as needed.


Minimum Requirements

·         Bachelor’s Degree

·         4+ years of experience in non-profit fundraising or direct marketing required’ experience in online fundraising preferred.

·         Expertise and working proficiency in Raiser’s Edge required

·         Experience in database management and gift processing required

·         Knowledge of online fundraising software such as Luminate Online preferred

·         Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

·         Strong writing and editing skills

·         Experience with Omatic software a plus
