If you've ever thrown a party, you know that hosting a handful of people can take a lot of preparation. On any given Sunday this spring, roughly 200,000 visitors will come through Central Park. With that many guests, even passive activities like walking and picnicking can take a toll, so the Conservancy's staff has been hard at work since the fall preparing for the spring bump in visitors.
Check out the slideshow above to see the massive numbers involved in preparing the Park for the spring. Our staff and volunteers will take care of the work, but you can still help out by becoming a member of the Conservancy today.
One of Central Park's largest playgrounds, the East 96th Street Playground features a great variety of play equipment and ample open space for running and playing games.
