Keeping It Green For Families
Spend quality time with your family helping keep Central Park green.
Fishing and Water Celebration
Bring your family for a day devoted to fun and the science, history, and design of the water in the Park. Activities will include water quality testing and microscopic exploration, water-coloring, a scavenger hunt, music and life-size puppetry theater, and our newest exhibit Ponds, Pipes, and People: Water in Central Park.
Great Jazz on the Great Hill
Bring your picnic blanket and dancing shoes for an afternoon of live music and dance by some of the best local jazz performers. Make sure you bring your appetite for the delicious food truck fair that will be available for purchase! Co-presented with Jazzmobile.
These educational programs and resources help children explore Central Park and develop skills for learning and inquiry, all in the world’s greatest outdoor classroom.
Birding for Families
Join the Conservancy and NYC Audubon Sundays during the spring and fall for a guided birding adventure!
Bring your little ones to playgrounds throughout Central Park all summer long and enjoy music, dance, puppetry, and storytelling by some of the best local artists.
Family Performance Festival
Each summer, the Conservancy hosts a series of eco-education and multicultural performances for the whole family to enjoy. Formerly known as A Clearing in the Forest, this year's Family Performance Festival is chock-a-block full of fun and learning through music, storytelling, in-Park adventure, puppetry, and more!
On A Wing Series
Each May, this three-part series celebrates Central Park's winged wildlife, from red-tailed hawks to fanciful Monarch butterflies. Discover why the Park is one of Manhattan's best places to spot an impressive variety of winged creatures.

Youth Recreation Programs
The Central Park Conservancy offers a wide variety of Recreation Programs for youth throughout the year, based out of the North Meadow Recreation Center, located mid-Park at 97th Street.

Exhibit: Ponds, Pipes, and People: Water in Central Park
Discover our new interactive and educational exhibit that explores the significance of water in the Park’s history and design, its vibrant aquatic ecosystems, and the Conservancy’s care of 150 acres of water in the middle of a dense urban landscape.
Individual & Corporate
Programs for individuals include Horticulture, Greeter/Guide Programs, and Central Park Paws; Corporate groups can sign up for “A Day in the Dirt” to do their part!
