Discover our new interactive and educational exhibit that explores the significance of water in the Park’s history and design, its vibrant aquatic ecosystems, and the Conservancy’s care of 150 acres of water in the middle of a dense urban landscape.

Women in Central Park: Illustrated Talk
In celebration of Women's History, the Conservancy invites you to a series of events exploring the influence of women in shaping Central Park, from the original design inception to today's management.
Women, Children, and Play in Central Park
Join Marie Warsh, Central Park Conservancy's Director of Preservation Planning, for a talk on how Central Park was specifically designed to accommodate the needs of children and women as their mothers and caregivers, and reflected contemporary ideas about the roles and behavior of women in public space in the 19th century.
Sunday at the Met
An engaging afternoon program surrounding the Obelisk exhibit at the Met with Conservancy Conservation experts, Marie Warsh, John Harrigan, and Matthew Reiley.
