Keeping It Green for Schools


Give your students the opportunity to give back to their community and learn the value of volunteering by spreading mulch or raking leaves. Led by environmental educators, projects are located throughout the Park based on the school’s location.

Spring 2016: April -June

School day: Thursdays (Sorry, all spring Thursdays have been filled.  Registration for fall 2016 begins June 1.)
10:00 am – 11:30 am

Groups of up to 30 students in grades K-12 with two or more chaperones. Schools are limited to two sessions per school year.

After-school: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Two hour sessions available after 3:00 pm.
Groups of up to 15 students with one or more chaperones with a minimum two-week advance notice.

  • Date(s) preferred
  • School Name & Address
  • Grade
  • Number of students
  • Number of chaperones
  • Expected means of transportation (walk, school bus, public transit)
