Come Party in Your Playground! On Wednesday, May 22, 2013, from 3:30pm-6:30pm, the Playground Partners of the Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy, hosts its Annual Playground Party at Heckscher Playground, inside the Park at Central Park South and 7th Avenue. The event is a family-friendly fundraiser with activities geared toward children six months to 10 years of age:
Party Co-Chairmen: Adelina Wong Ettelson, Jennifer Evans, Nina Garcia, Sarah Kurita, Jill Ross, and Sharon Teles
Grandparents Committee Co-Chairmen: Nancy and Daniel Paduano
Playground Partners Committee Chairmen: Nyssa Kourakos and Yesim Philip
Women’s Committee President: Anne Harrison
The Playground Party is held rain or shine. Proceeds from the event help keep the Park's 21 playgrounds clean, safe, and well-maintained.
I would like to become a Playground Patron or renew my Patron Membership.

Turtle Pond
Like all of the other water bodies in Central Park, Turtle Pond is man-made – filled with New York City drinking water. However, you wouldn’t want to drink this water, since it’s filled with five species of turtles who live in the Pond year round.
