Come Party in Your Playground! On Wednesday, May 22, 2013, from 3:30pm-6:30pm, the Playground Partners of the Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy, hosts its Annual Playground Party at Heckscher Playground, inside the Park at Central Park South and 7th Avenue. The event is a family-friendly fundraiser with activities geared toward children six months to 10 years of age:

  • Official Central Park vehicles to explore
  • Rock climbing walls
  • Sno-Cones by Imperial Woodpecker Sno-Balls
  • A baseball activity hosted by Bulldog Baseball
  • Face-painting
  • Cupcake decorating by Sprinkles Cupcakes
  • A delicious buffet featuring many sweets and treats
  • And much more

  • Central Park's Turtle Pond Turtle Pond

    Like all of the other water bodies in Central Park, Turtle Pond is man-made – filled with New York City drinking water. However, you wouldn’t want to drink this water, since it’s filled with five species of turtles who live in the Pond year round.
