Fishing and Water Celebration
Bring you family for a day devoted to fun and the science, history, and design of the water in the Park!
12:00 pm The Celebration Begins!
12:30 pm - 1:15 pm "The City That Drinks the Mountain Sky," a masterpiece of life sized theatrical puppetry by Arm of the Sea Theater
1:45 pm - 2:30 pm Billy B the Natural Science and Dance Man leads you in energetic dance and song through lessons about aquatic life!
ONGOING ACTIVITIES (12:00 pm - 3:00 pm)
Learn how to conduct water quality tests, explore life on the microscopic level through water samples of the Harlem Meer.
Grab a pole for catch and release fishing, or go on a scavenger hunt around the Harlem Meer to take a closer look!
Paint a water-color and make a fish craft
Take a break from it all and check out our newest exhibit Ponds, Pipes, and People: Water in Central Park, to learn all about the history of water in Central Park and its role in the landscape, at the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center.
