Claude Jay & Purple MaJic Ensemble

Date: July 7, 2019, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Claude Jay has brought his gospel music from Harlem to such faraway lands as Japan, Brazil, France, and many others. His spirit comes through his expressive and soulful voice, which he has used in service of many causes including HIV/AIDS, Haitian relief, education, and civil rights. He is supported by his accompanying ensemble, Purple MaJic. Claude Jay & the Purple MaJic Ensemble have performed at Carnegie Hall, Morehouse College, on studio recordings, and at venues throughout Harlem. Through his gifted voice he has spread goodwill, traveling across borders, and transcending barriers and cultural differences to bring music to thousands of adoring audiences.
