The Central Park Conservancy is pleased to announce the opening of a new Visitor Information Center and Volunteer Headquarters at Chess & Checkers House.  You are invited to stop by the center to pick up a free map, catch a walking tour, or rent a chess or checkers set for a leisurely game under the shady pergola.

Chess & Checkers, as it is often called, is located mid-Park at 64th Street near the Dairy Gift Shop.  Chess and Checkers will be open to the public Tuesday through Sunday, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
