My Dog Loves Central Park Country Fair

City canines and their two-legged companions will want to attend the My Dog Loves Central Park Country Fair featuring the Best in Park Dog Show on Saturday, October 13.  This fun, FREE, annual Fair will be held from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm in Central Park (mid-Park at 72nd Street between the Bandshell and Sheep Meadow).

The popular Best in Park Dog Show puts pups tail to tail to see who displays the best canine behavior during "WALK WITH ME," "SIT AND GREET," and "RELIABLE RECALL".  Celebrity judges will help decide which four-legged competitor best embodies the characteristics of a good Central Park citizen.  "The My Dog Loves Central Park Country Fair brings together all types of Park users for a day of fun festivities," says Central Park Conservancy President Doug Blonsky.

Does your pet have a trick up his paw? Show off at an open "pet tricks" casting call with crew from The Late Show with David Letterman. Other features of the Fair include the Animal Haven Adoption Van, The Mayor's Alliance with a microchip clinic, AKC Canine Good Citizens testing, an agility course, service dog demonstrations, an 'Ask the Vet' booth, plenty of fun & games (such as doggy musical chairs), and great giveaways.
