Halloween in Central Park

Halloween in Central Park means costumes, crafts, candy, storytelling, scary movies, and New York’s largest pumpkin flotilla!

Wear your costume and get ready for a frightfully-fun time! All events are FREE. Advance registration not required.

Harlem Meer Social Hour: Pumpkin Carving
Tuesday, October 14, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Charles A. Dana Discovery Center (Inside the Park at 110th Street between Fifth and Lenox Avenues)
Join us at our monthly series for young professionals as Susanne Beason demonstrates how to carve the perfect pumpkin and guides us in creating our own unique jack-o'-lanterns. Pumpkins and refreshments provided. For more information, call 212-860-1370.

Halloween Crafts for Tots

Chess & Checkers House (Mid-Park at 64th Street)

Spooks at Belvedere

Belvedere Castle (Mid-Park at 79th Street)
What better place to celebrate Halloween than a spooky castle? Doors open at 4:00 pm.
** Note: The screening of the Nightmare Before Christmas has been cancelled due to weather concerns, but the Spooky Castle will be open, rain or shine!

Halloween Pumpkin Sail
Sunday, October 26, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Charles A. Dana Discovery Center (Inside the Park at 110th Street between Fifth and Lenox Avenues)
Enjoy spooky storytelling, pumpkin crafts, live saw music, yummy candy, and New York City’s largest pumpkin flotilla! Bring your own 5lb to 10lb jack-o’-lantern by 6:00 pm to participate in the pumpkin sail. For more information, call 212-860-1370.
