The Adventure Program conducted at the North Meadow Recreation Center, Mid-Park at 97th Street, is a multi-element experiential outdoor program consisting of Climbing and Challenge courses for youth and adults. These programs offer a unique opportunity to develop important skills of flexibility, leadership and the problem-solving. The Central Park Conservancy's recreation programs have been providing youths and adults with quality outdoor adventure and fitness education since 1990. OPEN ENROLLMENT COURSES FOR INDIVIDUALS

Adult Climbing (ages 18 and up) Open Hours Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sundays, 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm North Meadow Recreation Center Mid-Park at 97th Street Join the Central Park Conservancy at the indoor climbing wall at the North Meadow Recreation Center during open climbing hours. The wall includes a small roof, steep angles, and an arête. $100 includes participant ID card, all equipment, and free climbing during adult open sessions. $7 for a day pass. Ages 18 and up. Youth Indoor Wall Climbing (Ages 8 to 17) Open Hours Sundays, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm North Meadow Recreation Center Mid-Park at 97th Street Join the Central Park Conservancy at the indoor climbing wall at the North Meadow Recreation Center during open climbing hours. The wall includes a small roof, steep angles, and an arete. Participants receive I.D. card, all equipment, and free climbing. Youth who have successfully completed the climbing courses at North Meadow will be able to use the indoor climbing wall during youth open climbing hours. AGES 8 to 17. Fee $5. Climb-On! Youth Climbing Instruction Tuesdays, 4:00pm to 5:30pm Saturdays, 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm North Meadow Recreation Center Mid-Park at 97th Street Climb-On! is a four-session climbing course. It covers technique, equipment, and belaying. For ages 8 - 17, limited to 8 participants. Pre-registration required. Fee $25.

Adult Climbing Instruction (ages 18 and up) April - October Saturdays, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm North Meadow Recreation Center Mid-Park at 97th Street A comprehensive four-session beginners' climbing course focusing on bouldering techniques, belaying, knots, equipment, and setting up anchors.  The first three classes are held at the North Meadow Recreation Center indoor and outdoor climbing walls; the last class is held on the rocks inside the Park at 110th Street. Fee: $200 (includes all course equipment and an annual pass for open climbing hours upon completion of course).  Pre-registration required.  Please call 212-348-4867 ext.10 for information.
