 Endow a Tree
Central Park, with its 26,000 trees, is the heart and lungs of New York City. Starting with a $5,000 endowment, you can support the Tree Trust’s efforts to keep Central Park planted with elegant trees. From flowering cherry trees to statuesque elms, your donation makes it possible for the Central Park Conservancy to care for its existing trees as well as to plant new ones when needed.
The Tree Trust offers you a unique opportunity to endow in perpetuity one of the trees in Central Park. It becomes your tree to visit and to watch as the seasons change. You may also endow a tree as a gift to a friend or “in memory of” or “in honor of” someone. The funds raised through endowments are used for the care of all of the Park's trees. The following descriptions define the various levels of endowment and the benefits of each level.
$5,000 - Endowment of a mature tree
You will receive a color photograph of the tree, a certificate of endowment and a map showing the exact location of the tree. A walkway paving stone will be engraved with the proper name of the endowed tree, the year of endowment and your name. If you endow the tree in the name of another, the paving stone may read "in honor of" or "in memory of." $10,000 or more - Endowment of a mature tree
You will receive all of the above. These paving stones are placed in a specially designated section of Literary Walk. Click here to endow a tree (will open in a new window)
$25,000 or more - Endowment of historic trees and groves

$250,000 or more - Endowment of historic trees and groves
You will receive all of the above and you may also have your name engraved on a plaque which will be placed on a large rock near the tree or grove. Click here to endow a tree/grove (will open in a new window)
All contributions to the Tree Trust are tax deductible within the guidelines of the US Department of Taxation.
