Women's Committee LogoThe Women's Committee is a group of dedicated women who raise funds for and introduce friends to the Central Park Conservancy. Four visionary women, three of whom are still deeply involved, founded the Women's Committee in 1983: Mrs. Howard L. Clark, Mrs. Charles A. Dana, Jr., Mrs. Richard I. Purnell, and the late Mrs. Phyllis Cerf Wagner. The Committee conducts programs that bring in money for specific parts of the Park and also for the needed operating expenses of the Conservancy. The Women's Committee raises over 20 percent of the Conservancy's $25 million annual operating budget.

The Women's Committee annually hosts one of New York's premier charitable events, the Frederick Law Olmsted Awards Luncheon, and operates eleven programs including:
