Central Park\'s Perimeter Along Fifth AvenueThe Perimeter Association provides funding for the improvement and maintenance of Central Park's six-mile perimeter, from the Park's wall to the street curb. Over 115 residential buildings, hotels and clubs around the Park support the program with contributions from $1,500 to $7,500.

Perimeter Crew spreading sand on top of the snowThe Association employs a crew who clean the perimeter seven days a week. Every day, the crew makes its way around the perimeter picking up trash, fallen branches, and all the debris that collects along the sidewalks. The crew repairs Park walls, repairs and paints Park benches, and repaints lampposts to cover graffiti. Inthe winter, they remove snow and spread sand and salt.

Without the support of the Perimeter Association's cooperating buildings, condominiums and clubs, it would be difficult to keep the Perimeter clean and maintained.
