For children of all ages, this playground derives its name from the Egyptian Wing of the Metropolitan Museum close by. The challenging, mostly wooden play equipment for older children includes rope and tire swings, pyramids and a chain-link bridge. For smaller children there are bucket swings and a separate sandbox area with its own stone obelisk and turtle. There is a large picnic area complete with chess and checker tables.
Note: There are no trash receptacles inside the playgrounds. Please deposit all trash in receptacles outside playgrounds and help us keep play areas free of rodents.
