Pitch In, Pick Up

Volunteering to Pitch In, Pick Up is a quick and easy way to help keep Central Park clean and beautiful. By contacting one of our four Visitor Centers today, you can volunteer to help pick up litter on your own schedule.

The days and times for Pitch In, Pick Up are Tuesday – Sunday between 10:00 am – 3:00 pm (hours are seasonal and subject to change). After a brief orientation, you will be given a trash grabber, gloves, a lanyard with a map of the location you’re going to work in, and garbage bags to place litter into. Then pitch in by helping us pick up litter.

To participate, you must be 18 or older, or a minor accompanied by a parent or guardian (teacher). You must show a valid form of ID before filling out a one-time waiver form.
