Central Park Paws, a program of the Central Park Conservancy, represents the thousands of dog owners who enjoy the Park every day, and aims to foster and maintain a dialogue between dog owners and the Conservancy on behalf of the Park. Through year-round events, an electronic newsletter, and volunteers representing each dog-friendly area of the Park, Central Park Paws provides a forum to address issues relating to dogs, dog owners, and other Park users and to increase awareness of the privileges and responsibilities of dog ownership in Central Park.
Central Park Paws hosts activities for dog owners and their dogs, including:
Monthly Bagel Barks: events for dog owners held at different locations throughout the Park during off-leash hours. Get the schedule here.
My Dog Loves Central Park Country Fair: annual autumn event that includes competitions for Best in Park dog, Canine Good Citizen certification testing, microchipping, an agility course for dogs, live entertainment, giveaways, and more. Learn more here.
Dog Tales Archive: a collection of rich stories about dogs in Central Park and the relationships that are built in this beloved green space. See some media clips here!
