  • Osborn Gates in Central Park

One of the most important pieces of art in the Park, the cast-bronze gates were created by renowned sculptor Paul Manship. The Conservancy refurbished the gates in 2009, and today they stand at the entrance of Ancient Playground.

  • Parks Enforcement Patrol

Parks Enforcement Patrol (PEP) is responsible for patroling over 29,000 acres of open green spaces that includes more than 1,500 city parks and park facilities.

  • Pat Hoffman Friedman Playground

This playground's focal point is the Group of Bears sculpture by renowned artist Paul Manship.

  • Peter Jay Sharp Children's Glade
    Peter Jay Sharp Children's Glade

This is the perfect "stage" for storytelling, music, dance and theater. A Clearing in the Forest, the Conservancy’s popular program of free multicultural performances and family workshops, takes place here every summer.

  • The Pilgrim Sculpture in Central Park
    Pilgrim Hill

A little knoll that rises to the southwest of Conservatory Water, Pilgrim Hill takes its name from the bronze statue that sits atop its crest. Most, however, know it as one of the best sledding spots in New York City.

  • Pnebank Arch in Central Park
    Pinebank Arch

The misnamed Pine Bank Arch is more accurately a bridge. It’s one of five of the original seven cast-iron bridges remaining in Central Park.

  • Playmates Arch in Central Park
    Playmates Arch

Playmates Arch links the Dairy and the Carousel while also bridging traffic across the Center Drive. Its light-hearted name comes from its positioning in what was known as the Children’s District.

  • Point

A lush peninsula jutting into the Lake, the Point offers visitors a beautiful vantage point of Bethesda Terrace directly ahead and Bow Bridge to the west.

  • The Pond in Central Park
    Pond

The Pond is one of Central Park’s seven naturalistic water bodies. Despite the millions of visitors who walk by the water’s edge each year, you can still find a sense of solitude.

  • The Pool in Central Park
    Pool

With its grassy banks, weeping willows and rushing waterfall, the Pool is one of the most charming spots in the Park.
