Ballplayers' House Refreshments

Ballplayer's House in Central Park

Enjoy salads, sandwiches, burgers, and other ballpark snacks at this eatery on the northern edge of the Heckscher Ballfields. The small brick cafe is a quaint spot to get a bite while watching a baseball game or taking in the sweet calliope of the nearby Carousel. A beautiful flower bed surrounds the building, which is on the site of the original Boys' Ballplayer House, a changing room for boys who played "base-ball," and cricket on the 19th century ball field. Outdoor seating.
