West 84th Street Playground

 

The West 84th Street Playground is now open. Rebuilt as part of the Conservancy’s Plan for Play the updated playground features new climbers, tunnels and slides, more swings, enhanced water features, a revitalized landscape. The reconstruction also improves accessibility for children and caregivers. Located just north of Summit Rock, near the Park's Mariners' Gate entrance, it provides a variety of play experiences for younger children.

Get Involved with Central Park Playgrounds

The Playground Partners program was founded in 1991 by the Women's Committee of the Central Park Conservancy to maintain the quality and cleanliness of Central Park's 21 playgrounds. The funds raised through Playground Partners membership and event contributions go directly towards the preservation, care, and daily inspection of these cherished play spaces.
