Thanks to everyone who has made it out to the Central Park Conservancy Film Festival 2012!

The 10th Annual Film Festival, presented by Bloomberg, kicked off on Tuesday, August 21, with an inspiring Q&A by Do the Right Thing Oscar Nominee Danny Aiello. Danny discussed growing up next to the Park at West 68th Street, how he started acting, and why he sings. The next night, over 4,000 movie-lovers came out to enjoy Pee-wee's Big Adventure. On Thursday, August 23, 7,500 people came to see The Big Lebowski. On Friday night, Delta Tau Chi took over the Park in Animal House. The Festival concluded with the Viewers' Choice Film, Clerks, featuring a Q&A with the film's star, Brian O'Halloran

We asked Film Festival attendees what brought them out to the Festival. Jose from the Bronx said he wanted to take his girlfriend Arjulis on a romantic date (Arjulis says he succeeded). Julia from the Lower East Side came for her son, a Spike Lee fan. Aglaguel from Moroco came to spend a special night with his wife. Asad from the Bronx said Do the Right Thing reminds him of growing up in New York. Perhaps Laurie from Manhattan summed it up best: "Because how beautiful is this?" Most visitors said they came out to see great movies outside in Central Park!
