Playing Chess in Central Park

Monthly, June - September, 2011
Saturdays, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Learn local Grandmasters' secrets to improve your chess game, then test your new skills against theirs or a friend's in the Conservancy's exciting summer-time series of chess lectures and "Simul" (simultaneous) games, in which the Grandmaster plays up to 30 participants at once, moving from board to board making one move at a time. All are welcome to enjoy the lecture and cheer on Simul participants. Official chess rating and day-of registration required for Simul participation when registered on a first-come first-served basis from 9:30 am - 10:00 am on the morning of the event.* For more information, click on the links below or call 212-794-4064.
