Football

Only touch football and flag football can be played at the North Meadow from mid-September through mid-November. Permits are required and cleats are prohibited.

New York City Department of Parks and Recreation issues permits to leagues, teams and other groups to reserve specific athletic fields at specific times. The public can obtain athletic field permits for a session on one of the fields by submitting an application to the permit office. For more information call 212-408-0226.

  • Central Park's Bridge Number 24 Bridge No. 24

    One of the oldest examples of cast iron bridges in America, Bridge No. 24 is located near the south gate house of the Reservoir and spans the Bridle Path. It was restored by the Central Park Conservancy in 1989, and again in 2012.
