The Central Park Tennis Center has a total of 30 outdoor courts -26 clay and 4 asphalt. The season begins in early April and continues through late November, during which time the Tennis Center is open daily from 6:30am to dusk. The clay courts are closed during the winter; but the asphalt courts remain open.
All players must have either a seasonal or single-play (one-time use) permits. Smooth-soled shoes only; running shoes prohibited.
Seasonal permits can be purchased at the Arsenal beginning the last week in March and are good for use until the end of the season. Single-play permitsare good for one hour of tennis and are available both at the Arsenal permit office and the Tennis Center.
Oak Bridge at Bank Rock Bay
This footbridge crossing Bank Rock Bay was originally built of white oak – hence its early name, Oak Bridge. In 2009, the Conservancy recreated the bridge using historic photographs and original drawings.
