Nestled in a dense nook of trees and shrubbery on the west side of the Ramble, the rough stone arch carries a narrow walkway and a footpath below. Placed in a cleft between two high rock outcrops, Ramble Arch is considered one of the most picturesque of Central Park’s bridges.
Built in large-part of boulders found in the Park, the arch measures five feet across and more than 13 feet high, with a nine-foot underpass.
