East Meadow

East Meadow
The East Meadow is the last of the major lawns to be restored by the Central Park Conservancy.

This pastoral meadow just off of Fifth Avenue is a popular spot for events and recreation. In the warmer months, the lush green lawn is dotted with sunbathers and picnic blankets.

The East Meadow has recently been restored and reopened to the public on September 20, 2011, following a year-long, $3 million effort. The project's completion marks another important achievement for the Conservancy: all of Central Park's major lawns have now been restored.
