Volunteer to work closely with a Conservancy Zone Gardener and other volunteers on a weekly basis to help meet the horticultural and maintenance needs of one of Central Park's 49 zones.
By always working in the same zone, you'll develop a great deal of knowledge and ownership about your area of the Park. A minimum 48-hour commitment is required within the first four months. Volunteers work three hours per week. All shifts are 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Apply online to become a Gardener's Assistant. An interview and mandatory training are required. If you have previously created an online volunteer profile, please do not create a new one. If you do not remember your log-in information, please contact us at: volunteer@centralparknyc.org.
Arthur Ross Pinetum
