The Keeping It Green program provides and opportunity for school classes to give back to their community and help take care of Central Park.
Environmental educators lead these action-packed programs in which students learn the value of volunteering and get an idea of what it takes to keep the Park's 843 acres clean and green. Projects are located throughout the Park with school location and transportation taken into account. Projects include leaf raking and mulching. Students should dress to get dirty and wear only boots or sneakers (no open-toed shoes or slip-ons). Gloves and tools are provided.
Registration required at least two weeks in advance and each school is limited to two sessions per school year.

Spring Sessions: March - June, with registration beginning in December
Fall Sessions: September - November, with registration beginning in June
