OLMSTED 200: Parks in Conversation (Central Park Tour)

Celebrate Frederick Law Olmsted’s 200th birthday with a special series of tours in his two New York City masterpieces—Prospect Park and Central Park!

During this tour of CENTRAL PARK, guides from Central Park Conservancy and Prospect Park will jointly explore Olmsted’s unique vision, legacy, and evolution as a designer over the decade between their constructions. Built in different geographical and political contexts, Prospect Park and Central Park share many similar structural hallmarks—varied terrain and meandering paths to spark curiosity, grand vistas to inspire awe—that speak to Olmsted’s lasting influence on landscape design and public space, elements we continue to appreciate and benefit from today.

Please note this ticket is only for the Central Park Tour in the OLMSTED 200 series. You will receive a $10 off coupon to sign up for the Prospect Park Tour upon registration, or click here to visit the Prospect Park Tour directly.
