Central Park’s original design did not include statues and monuments—yet it is now home to 70 works of art! Learn what inspired these memorials and the fascinating history of the veterans, philosophers, writers, and other great thinkers that have shaped Central Park. On this tour you’ll get an insider’s look at the Central Park Conservancy’s conservation efforts to ensure these statues and monuments remain for generations to come.

COVID-19 HEALTH + SAFETY POLICIES

Ensuring the health and safety of our guests, staff, and the public is our top priority. Central Park Conservancy programs follow recommended guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, New York State, and New York City.

At this time, the Conservancy does not require visitors to wear masks during the tour. However, all participants should continue to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms and stay home if they feel unwell.
