Belvedere: A Beautiful View Tour

Enjoy the sweeping vistas of Central Park from the newly restored Belvedere Castle!
Begin your tour by enjoying the sweeping vistas of the Great Lawn from the plaza of the newly restored Belvedere Castle. Learn about the Castle’s history and the extensive conservation efforts that ensure its place in Central Park today. Central Park Conservancy guides every angle as you explore the surrounding landscapes, including Turtle Pond, King Jagiello statue, and the 3,500-year-old Obelisk, also known as “Cleopatra’s Needle.”
Due to the overwhelming popularity of Belvedere Castle, this tour does not visit the Castle’s interior. Visitors are encouraged to independently explore the Castle before or after the tour.
Recommended for those new to Central Park or interested in conservation, architecture, and landscape design.
