Leave a lasting mark in Central Park with a personalized granite paving stone on Gilder Run.

A paving stone on Gilder Run (on the path leading to Bridge No. 24 at the southeast corner of the Reservoir) gives you the opportunity to leave a lasting mark in Central Park. Carve your name, tribute, or memory into granite stones and they will become part of the landscape in perpetuity.

A limited number of stones are available for donations of $3,500.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I obtain a Gilder Run Paving Stone?

For a donation of $3,500, the Central Park Conservancy will recognize your gift with a personalized granite paving stone. When you’re ready to donate, please email [email protected]. Our staff will confirm your donation and assist you in confirming the engraving for your paving stone. After you approve a draft, we will move your paving stone to production.

What are the limitations to what I can include on the paving stone?

Inscriptions may be up to 15 characters per line (including spaces and punctuation) and up to four lines. We cannot include special characters, and all text will be engraved in capital letters.

How long does it take to install the paving stone?

Once a draft is approved, it takes approximately six to seven months for granite paving stone to be produced, delivered, and installed. You will be notified when the paving stone is installed. If you need something immediate to present to the honoree, we are happy to provide you with a printed certificate.

May I choose the location where the paving stone will be installed?

Paving stones are installed as they arrive. You are unable to select a designated location for installation.
