Wisteria Pergola at the Conservatory Garden

Beyond the fountain in the Italianate section of the Conservatory Garden stands the Wisteria Pergola.

Walk up stone steps on either side to find the curved pergola, made of delicate wrought iron and lined with benches that give beautiful views toward Fifth Avenue. The stone walkway includes medallions inscribed with the names of the original 13 states. In early May, the wisteria perfumes the air as it bursts into gorgeous purple bloom.
