Northern Forts Tour

Before Central Park was built, the “Fort Landscape” was used as a lookout point in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Now at the northeast corner of the Park, the rocky area was once used to spot enemy troops approaching via the East River and Long Island Sound. Join our guides and discover what recent studies have uncovered about this piece of the Park and its role in both the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812.
