Statues and Monuments Tour

Although the Park’s original design did not include statues and monuments, many groups have proposed additions to its grounds since it opened. As a result, Central Park has in many ways become a representation of the diverse communities in New York City, whose histories and cultures are now honored here. Learn more about the Park’s statues and monuments and how the Conservancy cares for them.
