Lawn Bowling and Croquet

First played in the 13th century, lawn bowling is one of the oldest games still played today. Central Park has two 15,000-square-foot fields at the Lawn Bowling and Croquet Greens, located in the south end.

Players must bring their own equipment.

Visitors interested in using the Greens must first coordinate with the New York Lawn Bowling Club or the New York Croquet Club.

A paid membership with one of the clubs includes permit fees, use of equipment, and access to the clubhouse.
