Central Park has become one of the best places in the City to pick up a paddle, with two different ways to play. Both spots welcome players of every level.
Free and walk-up pickleball:
Head to the North Meadow Center, where a longstanding community of players gathers on the handball courts most days of the year. No reservation, permit, or membership required—just show up. Bring your own paddle and balls; equipment isn't provided.
Reserved and full-service pickleball:
For guaranteed court time, Wollman Rink transforms into 14 courts each spring through early fall, operated by CityPickle.
