Jasmine Cephas Jones

Jasmine Cephas Jones is a native New Yorker, specifically Midwood, Brooklyn, and a proud alum of The High School of Performing Arts. Growing up she spent a considerable amount of time in Central Park, as it was a source of inspiration, especially when witnessing iconic performances at the New York Shakespeare festival. The park was an afternoon escape after school let out, literally a breath of fresh air, and a cherished place that Jasmine returns to frequently now. Since high school, Jasmine trained at the Berklee College of Music for vocal performance and The Neighborhood Playhouse for Theater. She is a member of the LAByrinth Theater Company. Recently, she received an Emmy nomination for her leading role in the short-form series, #Freerayshawn for Quibi. A recording artist, Jasmine released her debut EP, Blue Bird in March. The originator of the roles of 'Peggy Schuyler' and 'Maria Reynolds' in the Tony Award winning Broadway hit Hamilton: an American Musical, Jasmine also stars in the critically acclaimed feature film version for Disney+.
