TCS New York City Marathon
Every November, one of the world's biggest marathons crosses its final mile through Central Park.
Led by New York Road Runners, the TCS New York City Marathon has completed its famous 26.2 mile race in Central Park since 1976.
On the first Sunday in November, more than 50,000 runners make their way through the Park's West Drive before crossing the finish line near Tavern on the Green.
If you're visiting the Park on race day, expect road closures and heavy crowds along the route—and enjoy also one of the most thrilling atmospheres Central Park experiences each year.
