Basketball

Shoot some hoops, practice your jump shot, or play a full game at one of Central Park’s basketball courts. Basketball courts with nets are available to use for free northeast of the Great Lawn, and at the North Meadow Center (currently closed for renovation).

You can reserve a court for a specific time by obtaining a court permit from NYC Parks, otherwise, courts are available first come, first served.

During the summer months, the Conservancy runs Youth Basketball Clinics for kids aged 5-14 to improve their skills, make new friends, and have fun.
