M. Alex Ramirez is a Colombian saxophonist, composer, producer, and educator. His ideals on music focus on creating honest representations of his emotions while building a community that fosters innovation within the group and audience.
M. Alex Ramirez was awarded third place in the Carinthian International Jazz Award Saxophone Competition in 2020. A recent graduate from NYU, M. Alex Ramirez is currently based in New York City, where he regularly performs in venues all over the City. His current mentors include Ben Wendel, Baptiste Herbin, Krzysztof Urbanski, and Melissa Aldana.
M. Alex Ramirez recently released his debut EP, Coalescence, available on all streaming platforms.
