Discovery Walks for Families: The Ramble

Get "lost" with us in the Ramble! Explore how this carefully planned woodland provides habitat for a variety of wildlife.

Discover who calls the forest floor, the Lake shoreline, and the treetops their home. Discovery Walks for Families are a great way for parents and children of all ages to learn about the ecology and history of Central Park in a fun, creative way. Explore how this carefully designed woodland, “The Ramble,” provides habitat to a range of wildlife and engage in a variety of hands-on activities in the great outdoors. Tickets include a complimentary Discovery Journal for each child.

Recommended for families with children ages 5 years and up, although younger siblings are welcome to join.

Ensuring the health and safety of our guests, staff, and the public is our top priority. Central Park Conservancy programs follow recommended guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, New York State, and New York City.

At this time, the Conservancy does not require visitors to wear masks during the tour. However, all participants should continue to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms and stay home if they feel unwell.
