Visit the Site

Join Central Park Conservancy guides on a tour of Seneca Village, a predominantly Black community that existed along what is now the Park’s perimeter from West 82nd to 89th Street. On this tour, visitors will explore the landscape, gain insight into this community, and learn about the events that resulted in the displacement of Seneca Village residents for the construction of a new park.

These tours are free of charge for NYC educators. Please register using your school email address. All tour attendees should be prepared to show valid school ID when arriving for the tour.
