Wednesday, September 18 6:00 pm
We are thrilled to announce that our acclaimed Historian Emerita, Sara Cedar Miller, will be offering her fascinating lecture, Art in the Park, to our members!
Have you ever wondered what inspired the design of the Minton tiles, the Naumberg Bandshell, or even Tavern on the Green? Further, did you know that Central Park inspired designs around the US, including a very famous landmark in our nation’s capitol?
Sara Cedar Miller joined the Conservancy in 1984 and has spent decades photographing the Park. She has travelled the globe researching and photographing the artistic influences of Central Park, which she will showcase in this lecture. Learn why Sara and other historians call Central Park “An American Masterpiece” in this member-exclusive, one-night only virtual evening with Sara.
